In an attempt to keep all of our bar, restaurant, and amusement centers informed of updates and news in the gaming and amusement industry we want to let everyone know about the Georgia Lottery COAM Dispute Certification Process. Below you can read the new process:
DISPUTE CERTIFICATION FORM REQUIREMENTS
This notice relates to the submission of dispute certification forms to the Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC) related to the operation of coin operated amusement machines (COAMs) pursuant to O.C.G.A. §50-27-102 (d) and GLC RU 13.2.10.
Due to increased allegations of fraud and forgery, GLC must take additional steps to provide for the authenticity of certification forms submitted to GLC.
Effective immediately, certification forms will not be accepted via facsimile (fax) and will only be accepted when sent via email to COAMReporting@galottery.org. Additionally, any no dispute certification completed by a master licensee must be sent to GLC via email directly from the master licensee that made the certification. Any forms that do not comply with this notice will not be processed by GLC.
As a reminder, O.C.G.A. §16-9-20 makes it a crime to make a false statement or representation on any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency is of state government such as GLC and that such false statements may be punished by a fine up to $1,000, by imprisonment of 1-5 years, or both.
