COIN OPERATED AMUSEMENT MACHINE NOTICE
SAS UPGRADE DEADLINE REMINDER
This notice relates to Class B coin operated amusement machines (COAMs) communication with the Georgia Lottery Corporation’s (GLC’s) central accounting system. As a reminder, the deadline for all Class B COAMs to be upgraded to SAS is December 31, 2016. Any COAM that is not operating using SAS compliant protocol by December 31, 2016, will be disabled. The master licensee that owns any noncompliant COAM may be subject to penalties for its failure to comply with this upgrade requirement. Please be advised that only a device that is integrated into the software of a Class B COAM will be permissible as a SAS compliant solution and satisfy the upgrade required by December 31, 2016. For example, the Hoverboard product or any similar device that is added on to a board or component will not be an acceptable upgrade. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
