The Georgia Lottery has released a GA COAM Hurricane Dorian Inclement Weather Announcement for all location owners, in reference to Class B gaming equipment. We are pleased to report this information to you to keep you informed about all of your games and what your master license holder should be doing to help! Lucky Coin wants to make sure that all locations are made aware of the best practices for operating the games during inclement weather. Below is the GA COAM Hurricane Dorian Inclement Weather Announcement:

The Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC) Coin Operated Amusement Machine (COAM) Division is committed to meeting its customer’s needs during inclement weather conditions as a result of Hurricane Dorian.  The GLC is aware Location License Holders (LLHs) and Master License Holders (MLHs) are experiencing disruptions in machine communication or banking services which can create legitimate concerns regarding the deposit or collection of funds involving COAM designated accounts.  Therefore, MLH and LLH should conduct an evaluation of the business location to determine whether it can continue to provide COAM services or have the ability to access their banking institution.

For those MLHs attempting to re-establish connectivity between site controllers and the Central Accounting System, contact the Intralot Helpline at 1(877)261-6242 for any assistance.  Note that Intralot Technicians will make every effort to resolve connectivity issues but there may be a delay in response time due to travel conditions and the magnitude of outages throughout the State of Georgia.

If it is possible, the COAM Division will Disable machines through the Central Accounting System at the request of MLH or LLH until repairs can be completed to the business and/or the machines.  Requests to disable machines must be made through the COAM Division by emailing either Chris Boncek at cboncek@galottery.org or Reggie Tartt atrtartt@galottery.org or contacting the Retailer Services Hotline at 1(800)746-8546.  Requests to re-enable machine must be made through the same contact information.

The GLC Finance Department will be notified of any businesses that have been affected by Hurricane Dorian and will work with those businesses to address failed electronic fund transfers.  As a courtesy, the Finance Department will waive any overdraft fees or penalties from the GLC which are incurred by affected licensees as a result of inclement weather.  Licensees will still be liable for any failed sweep amounts that are the result of damage received from Hurricane Dorian.  Also note, over the next few weeks MLH may see a decrease in revenue pushed to their dedicated COAM accounts as a result of disconnection between site controllers and the CAS.

While COAM Staff and Intralot personnel are working closely with our partners to resolve issues related to Hurricane Dorian, the safety  of our staff and licensees are our top priority.
