Who should be listed as a business contact?
Business contacts should be trusted owners, managers or employees who understand the location’s operations and can respond when an issue needs prompt attention. Let each person know they are listed and make sure their telephone number, email address and title are accurate.
The Georgia Lottery generally discusses COAM business only with people listed as authorized contacts, so outdated information can slow communication.
How to update a COAM business contact
- Log in at the official Georgia COAM portal.
- Select Licenses from the navigation menu.
- Choose the correct business and verify its name, address and license type.
- Select Account Info to open the business contact page.
- Use the available Edit or Add option to update the contact.
- Review the information and save the change.
Portal labels can change over time. If the screen does not match these steps, consult the current Location License Holder Guide or call the COAM Retailer Services Helpline at 1-800-746-8546, Option 6 and then 2.
When should contacts be reviewed?
- Before submitting a new or renewal application
- When an owner, officer, manager or authorized employee changes
- When a telephone number, email address or mailing address changes
- Before a remodel, temporary closing or other operational change
- Any time Georgia Lottery communications are going to the wrong person
Keep business and ownership information accurate
Updating an everyday business contact is not necessarily the same as reporting a change of ownership, business entity or physical location. Those changes may require additional documentation or a new application. Contact the Georgia Lottery before assuming a portal contact edit is sufficient.
