A Georgia business that currently holds a Class A COAM Location License cannot simply add Class B machines under the existing Class A authorization. The location must complete the Georgia Lottery’s process and receive the appropriate Class B Location License before Class B machines are made available for play.
Step 1: Prepare a written request
The Georgia Lottery Location License Holder Guide directs an existing Class A license holder to submit a written request to the GLC Retailer Contracts Administration (RCA) Department. Include:
- The current Class A license number
- The name of the applicant or owner making the request
- A telephone number and email address
- A specific request to release the State Tax Identification number and add Class B machines
Step 2: Send the request to the RCA Department
The current guide lists the RCA COAM Department fax number as (404) 215-8897. Because department procedures and contact methods can change, confirm the current submission method before sending sensitive business information. The COAM Retailer Contracts Administration line is 1-800-746-8546, Option 4 and then 1.
Step 3: Wait for the system update
After receiving and reviewing the request, the RCA Department makes the appropriate system update and instructs the applicant to apply for a Class B Location License through the official COAM portal.
Step 4: Complete the Class B application
Review the business name, ownership information, address, requested machine count and required supporting documentation carefully. A location that will have both Class A and Class B machines must hold the appropriate Class B Location License.
Step 5: Wait for approval before offering machines for play
Do not make Class B COAMs available for play until the location has the required license and the original current Location License is prominently displayed. Coordinate installation and connectivity with the approved Master License Holder.
